Lord Jesus Christ, thanks to the gift of baptism, we are totally united to you.
Being offered to you through baptism, we are received into your grace and
brought together in the one holy Church that will continue forever.
We thank you for this gift of unity. Help us to overcome everything that makes
us forget our vocation to work for the visibility of this unity of the Church.
Thanks to your presence deep within us, we realize that this unity has its source
in the bosom of the Holy Trinity. Help us to see that this grace enables us to be
sent out into the world to spread your love and mercy to everyone.
Come, Holy Spirit, and renew our hearts. Endow us with compassionate
affections and enable us to teach and learn the Gospel together in words and
good works. Help us to strive with fervent love for the unity of all of us in one
Church so that we can show the world something of your eternal unity with the
Son in the Holy Spirit and give you the adoration that is due to you, our beloved
Father.
