message on behalf of Bishop Dr. Andrew Mang Lone,
the President to the Myanamar Lutheran Church
Bishop Dr Andrew Mang Lone of the Myanmar Lutheran Church
Warm greetings, prayers, and a heartiest thanks to you for your wonderful email, and a historical remembrance of a hero of faith, a Catholic Priest and Martyr Blessed Max Josef Metzger (1887-1944) who laid his life for peace on the earth and for the sake of the unity of the communion of the Church.
On behalf of Bishop Dr. Andrew Mang Lone, the President to the MLC, I want to thank you also for your kind invitation to us to remember the three significant anniversaries such as the forthcoming celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession (2030), 2031- the 400th anniversary of the greatest tragedy which brought the schism- the 30 Year inter-confessional war and it led to the destruction of the City of Magdeburg by the Catholic armies. Finally, 2033 marks the significant year to celebrate the 2000th anniversary of the Resurrection of Christ and the birth of the Christian church at the Pentecost.
Our church remembers these days in our prayers. May the Lord bless you always!
In Christ,
James
