PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY ON THE JUBILEE OF THE AUGSBURG CONFESSION (LATVIA)
Dziedini to, kas salauzts, samierini to, kas sašķelts,
To mēs lūdzam caur Kristu, mūsu Kungu.
Āmen.
Prayer for Christian Unity on the Jubilee of the Augsburg Confession (Latvia)
Heavenly Father,
Lord of history and Shepherd of Your Church,
We give You thanks for the faith proclaimed through the centuries,
and for the witness of all who have sought to confess Your truth
with sincerity of heart.
As we approach the jubilee of the Augsburg Confession,
we stand before You in humility and hope.
We remember with sorrow the divisions that have wounded the Body of Christ,
and we ask Your mercy for the sins that have separated Your people.
Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon Your Church in Latvia and throughout the world.
Heal what has been broken, reconcile what has been divided,
and renew in us the desire for visible unity in faith, hope, and love.
Grant wisdom to our bishops, pastors, and all who serve Your people.
Strengthen the bonds among all Christians,
that together we may bear witness to the Gospel
in a world longing for truth and peace.
May this time of remembrance become a moment of grace--
a step toward deeper communion,
a sign of Your reconciling power at work among us.
Unite us ever more closely to Your Son,
that the world may believe in Him whom You have sent.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
