Gracious God, Creator of all peoples and lands,
We praise You, the source of life and justice, who hears the cry of the oppressed and remembers the forgotten. We thank You for the witness of the Augsburg Confession, where the Gospel of Your free grace was proclaimed boldly against fear, corruption, and human pride. We thank You that this liberating Gospel crossed seas and cultures and found a home among the peoples of India — among the marginalized, the poor, the laborers, women, children, and all who longed for dignity and hope.
Lord, we confess that even within Your Church we have often betrayed the Gospel we proclaim. We have allowed social divisions, privilege, exclusion, and prejudice to weaken our fellowship and wound the Body of Christ. We have remained silent before injustice while singing hymns of faith. We have divided Your people through language, region, class, power, and hidden structures of discrimination. Forgive us, O God, for building walls where Christ has already broken them down through the cross.
Lord Jesus Christ, Crucified and Risen Savior,
You identified Yourself with the least, the wounded, and the rejected. You touched lepers, welcomed outcasts, defended women, fed the hungry, and proclaimed good news to the poor. Teach Your Church in India to follow Your way with courage. Deliver us from a faith that is comfortable but silent, religious but unjust, institutional but lifeless.
May the remembrance of Augsburg not become mere celebration of history, but a renewal of discipleship. Give us the boldness to proclaim justification by grace not only as doctrine, but as liberation for broken human lives. Let the Gospel challenge every system that diminishes human dignity — economic exploitation, social exclusion, religious hatred, gender violence, corruption, communalism, and political arrogance.
Raise up a Church that speaks truth to power and hope to despair. Make our pulpits prophetic, our theology compassionate, and our mission transformative.

கருணையுள்ள இறைவா, எல்லா மக்களையும் நிலங்களையும் படைத்தவரே,

ஆக்ஸ்பர்க்கின் நினைவு, வெறும் வரலாற்றுக் கொண்டாட்டமாக மட்டும் ஆகாமல், சீடத்துவத்தின் புதுப்பித்தலாக அமையட்டும். கிருபையினால் நீதிமானாக்கப்படுதலை ஒரு கோட்பாடாக மட்டும் அல்லாமல், நொறுங்கிய மனித வாழ்வுகளுக்கான விடுதலையாகவும் பிரகடனம் செய்ய எங்களுக்குத் தைரியத்தைத் தாரும். மனித மாண்பைக் குறைக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு அமைப்பையும் — பொருளாதாரச் சுரண்டல், சமூகப் புறக்கணிப்பு, மத வெறுப்பு, பாலின வன்முறை, ஊழல், வகுப்புவாதம், மற்றும் அரசியல் ஆணவம் — நற்செய்தி சவால் செய்யட்டும்.
